What We Do
The Washita River Film Society is a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Charitable Organization that aims to bring more entertainment to Southern Oklahoma. Our main objective is to celebrate and promote the art of cinema. We aim to provide a platform for diverse films, ranging from international and classic to independent and avant-garde, that might not receive widespread attention in commercial theaters.
We will plan regular screenings, our annual film festival, and events that foster discussions and engage audiences in an immersive cinematic experience. We aim to cultivate a deeper understanding and appreciation for film as an art form while building a sense of community among fellow film enthusiasts.
We invite people to share their love for storytelling, expression, and the magic of the silver screen.
